Concept and concept of waterproof cement
Waterproof cement is a concrete with a specific waterproofing agent added. Its main feature is to improve the density and impermeability of concrete by transforming the microstructure of cement and lowering the number and size of capillary pores. Tîpîkî, waterproof concrete will add water-proof materials such as salt silicate and potassium silicate during the manufacturing procedure. These materials will certainly form a water-insoluble crystal in the hydration response, filling up the pores in the cement and making it water resistant.
Advantages and drawbacks of waterproof cement
Avantajên
Hassle-free construction: Making use of waterproof concrete resembles that of ordinary concrete, and no additional expert abilities are called for.
Erzan: Compared with other high-end water resistant materials, the price of water-proof concrete is a lot more cost effective and appropriate for large water-proof jobs.
Excellent toughness: The waterproof cement layer, after proper construction, can keep its waterproofness for a long time and is hard to age.
Extensively used: Appropriate for basements, sîstemên banê, commodes, swimming pools and other scenes.
Drawbacks
Limitations: Waterproof cement is primarily used for moderate to moderate water seepage issues. For extreme water pressure and lasting immersion settings, the effect may not be as good as expert water-proof coverings.
High building demands: Building needs to be carried out strictly in accordance with the guidelines or else the anticipated effect may not be attained.
High maintenance requirements: Once the waterproof layer is harmed, repair is a lot more challenging.
